The Reliquary

The Reliquary is the central interface in the hub world where you manage all your collected Relics. Think of it as your specialized workshop and storage for the most powerful items that define your build. It is here that you will organize, upgrade, and shape your character’s power between runs.

The Reliquary is more than just a storage box; it is an interactive workshop with several crucial functions for your character’s meta-progression.

The most unique feature of the Reliquary is its grid-based inventory, which functions much like the “Idol” system in games like Last Epoch. To benefit from a Relic’s stats, it must be moved from your stash into this active grid. Since Relics come in various shapes and sizes (e.g., 1x1, 2x1, 2x2), strategically arranging them to fit as many powerful items as possible is a core part of creating a successful build.

You can permanently enhance your favorite Relics by spending Soul Stones. Upgrading a Relic increases the power of its stats and affixes, though the Soul Stone cost increases with each rank. This is one of the main ways to spend your permanent currency.

Unwanted Relics are not useless. They can be salvaged (disassembled) in the Reliquary to gain back Soul Stones. This provides a vital feedback loop, allowing you to convert bad luck on drops into guaranteed currency for other permanent upgrades.

The inventory grid is limited initially, but it can be permanently expanded. You can unlock more grid space by spending a scaling amount of Soul Stones (e.g., 1,000 for the first expansion, then 2,000) or by unlocking specific nodes on The Infernal Bell. Additionally, you can purchase more stash tabs to store a larger collection of Relics and Gear.
