Bosses & Mini-Bosses

In Hell Clock, you’ll encounter formidable bosses and mini-bosses that will truly test your build and adaptability across various acts. Defeating these powerful foes is crucial for progression and acquiring valuable resources to further empower your character.

Before diving into the specific encounters, let’s clarify the key stats you’ll see for these enemies:

  • Life (HP): This is the enemy’s primary health pool. For easier reading, “K” is used to denote thousands. For example, 60K means 60,000 Life, and 2,000K means 2,000,000 Life.
  • Conviction: Unique to some bosses, Conviction acts as an additional defensive layer that must be depleted before you can directly damage the enemy’s Life. Think of it as a temporary shield that needs to be broken first.

Act 1 culminates in challenging boss encounters that mark significant milestones in your campaign journey. These fights are designed to push your understanding of build synergies and on-the-fly adaptation.

The Merchant60K0This is likely your very first boss encounter in Hell Clock. While its Life pool seems modest, this fight is a crucial early test of your adaptability. In the endgame, understanding how to quickly pivot your build based on available drops, even if not ideal, will be essential for overcoming challenges like this.
The Matriarch960K240KAs a later Act 1 boss, The Matriarch represents a significant leap in difficulty. She boasts a much larger Life pool and introduces the Conviction mechanic. You’ll need sustained damage output to first break her Conviction, then continue to deplete her Life. Prepare for a more enduring fight.

(Information on Act 2 Bosses is currently Under Construction and will be added as more details are discovered!)

Mini-bosses are tougher, elite enemies that you’ll encounter during regular floor traversals within each act. While not as climactic as main bosses, prioritizing these targets is highly recommended due to the superior rewards they offer.

Wraith2,000K0Wraiths are considered elite enemies (often appearing as “red” dots on your mini-map). If you’re focusing on fast clears, you should always prioritize engaging them. They drop significantly more XP, gold, and trinkets than regular foes and offer a higher chance for valuable loot. Take them down whenever you see them!
