Constellations Map & Devotion Paths
The Constellation system is a deep endgame progression mechanic inspired by Grim Dawn, allowing you to create your own starting “class” for each Ascension run. The system consists of 52 mini-skill-trees (Constellations) spread out across a huge “sky.”
You start at the center and spend Constellation points (earned from completing Promises) to unlock nodes and gain access to constellations further away.
The Three Devotion Paths
Section titled “The Three Devotion Paths”At the center of the sky are the three main Devotion Paths. Your initial choices here will heavily influence your starting playstyle. These paths are roughly equivalent to classic RPG archetypes:
- Fury (Red): Represents the Warrior playstyle. Focuses on Life, Life Regeneration, and taking hits to trigger powerful effects like Child of Ogun, which grants zero mana cost and high attack speed after depleting your mana.
- Discipline (Green): Represents the Rogue playstyle. (Details to be added).
- Faith (Blue): Represents the Mage playstyle. Focuses on Mana, Mana Regeneration, and Mana Shielding. A key mechanic is generating Power Orbs by spending mana, which circle the player dealing damage and increasing mana regen.
Your choice of Devotion Path also influences the drop rates of certain endgame-only Unique Relics. While you may focus on one path early on, you will eventually be able to combine points across all three to create unique hybrid builds.
Respeccing (Future Feature)
Section titled “Respeccing (Future Feature)”The developers have stated that a system to respec (reset) Constellation points will be added in the future, but it will not be a simple “click a button” respec, requiring a more thoughtful process.
